Dry-Press Pulp Mold Protective Case for Electronic Devices
Manufacturing that balances environmental consideration with protective performance.
Project Overview
An electronics manufacturer approached us about packaging material that could protect the product while also serving as a premium-looking presentation box.
Packtoss proposed a protective case that could also serve as a presentation box, using pulp mold produced by the dry-press method with a smooth surface finish.
The Customer’s Challenge
- Wanting to balance product protection with a premium look
- Wanting to reduce the overall weight of the packaging material
- Wanting to switch to an environmentally friendly material
Packtoss’s Proposal
Using the dry-press method, we molded a smooth surface finish, achieving a more premium look than typical pulp mold. The interior shape is precisely designed to fit the product.
This design led to the following results.
- Balanced a look suitable for a presentation box with protective performance
- Reduced costs through the overall lighter weight of the packaging material
- Achieved recyclability through paper material
Key Points of This Case
A high-quality finish achieved through the dry-press method
Molding a smooth surface achieves a more premium texture than typical pulp mold.
Product protection through precision shape design
The internal structure is designed to match the product’s shape, firmly absorbing shock during transport.
Applications Across Electronics and Precision Components
This can be applied to protective packaging for a wide range of electronic devices, including home appliances and precision components.
