Shirokumaya CAFE | Paper Baking Mold for Chiffon Cake
Delivering the taste and world of baked goods, just as they are.
Project Overview
We received a consultation from the café/bakery brand “Shirokumaya CAFE” for an originally designed paper baking mold that could bake and package their signature chiffon cake as a single item.
Packtoss produced a paper mold printed with an original pattern expressing the brand’s world, proposing a specification that completes baking through packaging in a single container.
The Customer’s Challenge
- Wanted to sell the cake as-is after baking, without removing it from the mold
- Wanted the packaging itself to convey the brand’s world
- Wanted to use a safe material that meets food hygiene standards
Packtoss’s Proposal
We designed a heat-resistant paper mold printed with the brand’s original animal illustration and store name logo, allowing the same container to be used from baking through display and sale. Wrapping it in a transparent film keeps the freshly baked product looking appealing as-is.
This design led to the following results.
- Simplified manufacturing process by eliminating the need to remove the cake from the mold
- Packaging design instantly recognizable as the brand
- A one-stop container from baking to sale

Key Points of This Case
One-Stop Support from Baking to Sale
By using heat-resistant paper, we integrated the baking mold and the retail packaging into one.
Original Printing That Conveys the Brand’s World
Printing the store’s character and logo directly creates a brand experience from the moment it is picked up.
Applicable to Baked Goods in General
This can be applied not only to chiffon cakes but also to a wide range of baked goods, such as pound cakes and muffins.
