Pulp Mold (Dry Press)

Practical pulp molding that excels in shape retention and cost performance.

Dry-press pulp molding is a cost-efficient molding technology that is lightweight yet retains sufficient strength. It is used primarily for transport cushioning materials and industrial parts packaging, allowing for designs with excellent impact resistance and stackability. While slightly less smooth and precise on the surface compared to wet-press molding, it offers highly practical packaging at a lower cost. Despite being an environmentally conscious material, it also excels in mass-producibility and versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Use Cases

  • Cushioning material for precision and electronic equipment
  • Industrial parts packaging for overseas export
  • Dividers and fixtures for industrial components
  • Material for art/production props and artworks
  • Display objects, event installations, and other design-focused applications

Sustainable, Everyday Packaging You Can Rely On

Pulp mold is also ideal for packaging everyday consumer goods such as beverage trays and egg cartons. Lightweight and easy to handle, its stackable design also improves logistics efficiency. Even for disposable applications, it is gaining attention as an environmentally friendly material and is widely adopted by major food chains and supermarkets both in Japan and overseas.

Material Lineup

  • Bagasse Pulp (White, Natural)
  • Bamboo Pulp (White, Natural)
  • Eucalyptus Pulp (White, Natural)
  • Recycled Cardboard (Natural)
  • Recycled Newspaper (Gray)
  • Recycled Milk Carton Paper (Milky White)

A New Option — Semi-Wet Press

Semi-wet press is a new molding method that combines the advantages of both dry press and wet press. By applying high-pressure pressing before the material is fully dry, it achieves a higher surface smoothness and level of detail than conventional dry press, while keeping costs lower than wet press. With an excellent balance of premium feel and practicality, it can be used for a wide range of applications, including cosmetics, gifts, and electronics interior packaging.
